Rules for selling your own produce

EU rule

  • Regulation (EC) No 852/2004, Art. 1(2)(c) and 1(3). EU food hygiene Regulation 852/2004 does not apply to direct supply, by the producer, of small quantities of primary products to the final consumer or to local shops that supply the final consumer directly (Art. 1(2)(c)).   • business.gov.nl: Registration with the NVWA. Netherlands government business portal: food businesses must register all their branches with the Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA); an application requires registration with the Chamber of Commerce (KVK).
