Rules for selling your own produce

EU rule

• Regulation (EC) No 852/2004, Art. 1(2)(c) and 1(3). EU food hygiene Regulation 852/2004 does not apply to direct supply, by the producer, of small quantities of primary products to the final consumer or to local shops that supply the final consumer directly (Art. 1(2)(c)). Slovak Government Regulation 360/2011, §7: small quantities of plant primary products may be supplied only directly to the final consumer or to local retail, and must come from the own production of a primary producer registered for this activity.
