Rules for selling your own produce

EU rule

• Regulation (EC) No 852/2004, Art. 1(2)(c) and 1(3). EU food hygiene Regulation 852/2004 does not apply to direct supply, by the producer, of small quantities of primary products to the final consumer or to local shops that supply the final consumer directly (Art. 1(2)(c)). National rules

• Livsmedelsverket: Försäljning av små mängder. Swedish Food Agency: vegetables and potatoes may be sold directly to consumers with no specific requirements beyond food safety, but the growing must be registered with the county administrative board (länsstyrelsen).
